Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Neetter (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to neetter.com and the Neetter apps. We’re a content-first platform — we do not sell your personal data.

Information we collect

• Account info — your email, username, display name, and anything you add to your profile (bio, avatar, links, platforms).
• Content you create — posts, replies, reactions, reposts, saves, follows, game library, and Gamedle play.
• Usage & device data — basic logs, app interactions, and approximate device/browser info, used to operate and improve the Service.
• Authentication — if you sign in with Google, Discord, Twitch, or Apple, we receive basic profile info from that provider to create your account.

How we use it

• to provide, secure, and improve the Service;
• to build your feeds, notifications, and game pages;
• to moderate content and enforce our Terms;
• to process Neetter Pro subscriptions; and
• to understand product usage through privacy-respecting analytics.

How we share it

We don’t sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Service providers that run Neetter on our behalf (e.g. hosting, database, media/CDN, push notifications, analytics, and payment processing), under contracts that limit their use of it;
• Other users, for the content and profile details you choose to make public;
• Authorities, when required by law or to protect the safety of users and the Service.

Third-party services

We rely on third parties including OAuth providers (Google, Discord, Twitch, Apple), IGDB for game data, payment processors (Stripe, Apple, Google), and analytics (PostHog). Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in (including a secure, httpOnly session cookie), security, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your choices & rights

You can edit your profile, and deactivate or permanently delete your account, from Settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data — contact us to exercise them.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data, except where we must retain it for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures — encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Children

Neetter isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
