For some odd reason, having the Window setting set to "Fullscreen" caused the game to crash sometimes on Steam Deck'. There's a known issue with Steam Deck at the moment. For some reason the game will freeze up when loading your save files. It's not happening to everyone so the issue seems pretty random, but you should be able to resolve this by switching to "Desktop Mode" and running the game, or by re-installing it the game.
