v1.4.2 is live. Antivirus now actually blocks virus outbreaks; mid-day saves resume vending orders, patch repairs and ageing warnings where they left off; entity ID collisions are fixed. Also: 2.0 is coming. We're turning the game into the tycoon its name promises — from a neighbourhood cafe to hosting the Major. No date yet; it ships when it's ready. If you've played, a short review would help mo...

Internet Cafe Tycoon is 35% off from August 12-19 — its lowest price yet. And the cafe has never been this full. Since v1.4, every day ends in MAIL.EXE: 29 different mail events, every offer with two sides and a reply-by day. Cafe Rules lets you set your own house policy, repairs on credit keep you out of dead ends, and 5 independent save slots mirror to Steam Cloud. On the fence? The demo is wait...

v1.4.1 — The Music Comes Back The music that used to loop on the menu and the cafe name/cat selection screen wouldn't start over. Now it resets itself every ~2 seconds on every screen. (If you pause it yourself, it stays paused.) The run, which started in the demo and continued in the full game, ended on the 12th day with the message "You won." The day limit is now determined by the version you're...

The day-end screen is now a mail client. Inbox on the left, reading pane on the right: the day's report and the day's letter in one place. Offers are real two-sided decisions — every option tells you what it will do, and turning one down costs something too. They have deadlines now, so some of them you can sleep on. Cafe Rules. Policies are now levels of a single perk, and every one of them is a v...

Something to Buy at the End of Day 1 We cut Day 1 short so you'd reach the shop, but at Lv.1 every line in the shop was locked. Not anymore. The Water Dispenser unlocks at Lv.1 — the one thing you can buy on your first evening, and once you do, customers start placing orders. A line under the shop header telling you what you're supposed to do. Dispenser stock can be refilled from the end-of-day sh...

The whole interface has been rebuilt as a 2000s cafe-management program: every panel is a real window (WAITING.EXE, BUSINESS.DAT, ORDERS.EXE, EVENTS.LOG), the top bar is a taskbar, and the game boots like an era-true desktop — a lone KAFEOS.exe icon double-clicks itself and the login window pops open. A matching pixel cursor set ships with it (arrow, hand, and a "there's a right-click menu here" h...

Last week I asked Chinese players on Reddit to check whether my AI-assisted Chinese localization felt natural. The community delivered — missing games, better slang, even a better rank name. v1.2 changes: ~200 Chinese strings rewritten in authentic 2000s internet café voice, with community-sourced terminology Arcade machine names now localized in all languages (no more Turkish cabinet labels for C...
