Here we are again with a bucket of new info about a Ubisoft game that wasn't supposed to get out. This time, the leaks are about Assassin's Creed Hexe, an upcoming game in the series that has only been vaguely described as a "darker" installment through official channels... Read more.

Ubisoft suck at keeping a secret. It's long had a problem with leaks, and the Assassin's Creed series has probably suffered more from that than its other series. Even Ubisoft has joked about Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced being "gaming's worst kept secret" following leak after leak. Much like the Age of Piracy in Black Flag, Ubisoft's age of leaks isn't over either... Read more.

It's been a rough few years for Ubisoft. Former Assassin's Creed boss Marc-Alexis Côté left Ubisoft just 7 months after the release of Shadows, one of the most successful games in the series' history. He stood up for the game as public figures like Elon Musk derided it, and the day after Ubisoft announced his exit from the company, he said it wasn't his choice. Now, he's suing... Read more.

If you've somehow managed to avoid Assassin's Creed up to this point and are looking to dive in, (or, as is more likely the case, you're looking to fill a gap in the vast library of historical murder simulators Ubisoft has created since 2007) now might be the time to do so. Ubisoft is running a franchise sale on its stabby depictions of human civilisation, offering impressive discounts on some of ...

Desmond Miles? Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. Assassin's Creed's original protagonist stood at the centre of the series' story from the 2007 original to Assassin's Creed 3. I remember him being pretty roundly mocked at the time, and wasn't much of a fan myself. This was partly because players only controlled him during the series' divisive Animus sections, where the games would ...
